Perfect for Traditional Bows
Fortunately, the Heavy Hunter shaft offers a heavier weighted shafts that can be shot safely from traditional bows. Traditional bows should shoot arrows that have a minimum of 8-10 grains per pound of bow weight. if the arrow does not weigh enough, it can t receive all of the potential energy the limbs are attempting to transfer to the arrow leaving an excess of energy in the limbs and creates an unpleasant slam slap sound when the limbs come home. The lighter the arrow set-up, the more like a dry fire the shot is. With light arrows the shot is harsh and applies stress on the bow and string.
The Perfect Arrow
This is my second order of Heavy Hunter shafts...they are incredible...I set them up with 25% FOC and they hit like a freight train. I'm a long time wood shooter that couldn't find the carbon shaft worth the switch, until now. Mr Ferguson, this is a winner!
